Rite of Christian Initiation (RCIA)

RCIA begins in the Fall and runs through the Easter Vigil Mass. Classes will be offered at Nativity site (5811 Curry Road; Pittsburgh, PA 15236) on Monday evenings from 7-8:30pm.
 

• A sponsor accompanies each person desiring to become a Catholic. The sponsor may be chosen by the individual but can be provided by our parish The sponsors offer support and guidance throughout the RCIA process and are encouraged to attend the weekly classes.
• Team members and guest speakers present the teachings and traditions of the Catholic faith as well as the value and application of faith in our daily lives.
• The class setting is informal and allows for dialogue, discussion and questions as those needs arise.
• There is some participation in special Rites inside of Mass with the Church community.
